The arrival of the Covid 19 virus in New Zealand has resulted in the virtual closure of our borders.
Visas allowing entry to this country are being issued in very limited circumstances and this situation is unlikely to change in the months ahead. Should you need to make a request for an exception to the border restrictions you will need to submit an Expression of Interest in the first instance.
Likewise, the onshore labour market is set to change dramatically in the near future with high redundancies anticipated in many sectors including hospitality, retail and tourism. This is an unsettling time for all those who are affected by immigration outcomes and policy decisions. The rules are changing constantly and people need to be aware of these changes.
